Frequently Asked Questions

Do you treat children?

Yes! We believe children should have a dental team that creates an atmosphere that provides them with the tools to have a great “career” as a dental patient and partner. We work with kids to help them have a healthy, pretty smile!

If your child needs specialist-care, we have good orthodontists and pedodontists with which we regularly work.

Do you accept dental insurance?

Yes. Dental insurance is a very important benefit your employer has provided, and we want you to get the highest benefit allowance possible for your dollars. Understanding that the dental insurance contract is between you and your insurance company, we will do our best to work with you to maximize your insurance benefits. We will submit your claim, follow its progress through the insurance claim process, and work with you to resolve any disputes that may arise with your insurance company. Check with your employer or insurance company to see if we are a participating provider for your insurance plan. Kathy, our insurance coordinator, will be happy to assist you with any insurance questions or concerns you may have.

Do you follow current dental guidelines for sterilization and safety?

Yes. We are up-to-date on all sterilization and disinfection techniques. We follow all recommendations and requirements of the governing bodies of Washington state, including WISHA/OSHA guidelines and the Washington State Dental Association. We regularly attend continuing education courses to update our systems and procedures for providing a safe, clean environment for our patients and our dental team.

What happens if I am late for an appointment?

We understand that events can conspire against even the best of intentions. We have a philosophy of helping our patients achieve the best they can be. If a late arrival keeps us from providing you with the highest possible service to you, we will do what we can in the time allowed, then find a time that works for you. We will not lecture you or give you a hard time! We respect your time and do our best to stay on time. Unforeseen emergencies can throw us off-schedule. You are welcome to call in advance of your appointment to confirm our timing. We ask you to respect ours also—please give us as much advance notice as you can if you must change an agreed-upon visit with us.
